Teamwork?

What value is your documents created? What will you learn from it? How will you be different or what will you experience differently after this work? Are you thinking of these?

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

Nobody thinks of these, because anyone can graduate without thinking of these.

What a pity.

On the scheduled day for presentation, there will be 8 teams giving presentation and my team is the last one. As you can easily image that audience will have seen more than 100 slides before seeing the first slide of our presentation, but my teammates don’t really care about the number of 16 slides in our presentation which is actually 4 more than planned.

The slides weren’t structured as a streamed story and they were just 10 summarized slides for 10 annual reports. How could this presentation be valuable with these slides?

Come on! The instructions are not the most important! The credits are not the most important! The most important thing is what and how you learn!

If the teacher never asks for higher quality, I believe the situation will not be better. Because students can pass by making low-quality products or documents. Students will think that this level of quality is quite enough and never notice the importance of thinking in the shoes of customers or at the point of view of how to create values. Then as a result, students graduate without learning sufficient level of attitude toward their products and without enough width of view, and then bump into the reality in industries.

The point for improvement relies on the quality of teachers and students. As long as the quality of teachers are higher or high enough, the lectures would be more interesting, more understandable and more knowledgeable, which make students learn more efficiently. Teachers can also advise more effectively to the challenging assignments to students. Without high-quality students, students may quit easily while facing challenging assignments or demands from the lectures, which may lead to the end of the program itself.

Back to the topic, what is teamwork? Shouldn’t it be a way to bring each member in a team to higher performance by cooperating together? But, if the goal given by the teacher is low or the level of tense is low, it won’t create any meanings after all.

In conclusion, teamwork in schools may mean to pull down your level to make you match the lower level and goal of your teammates.
